Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Community Recreation Coordinator, the Community Recreation Supervisor assists the manager/supervisor in planning, organizing, implementing and promoting recreation programs, sports, activities and special events for the Military Community. She/he assists in monitoring and evaluating Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) recreation programs. She/he submits reports to the manager/supervisor regarding recreation programs. She/he promotes participation in recreation programs. She/he submits newspaper, newsletter articles, social media and website promotional material to promote recreation activities.

Qualifications:
College diploma or certificate in Sports Administration, Recreation Management, Leisure Services, or a related field, AND some years of experience in recreation administration, or in a related field
OR
High school diploma AND several years of experience in a related field
OR
A demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
AND
Current CPR and basic First Aid qualifications
HIGH FIVE®: Principles of Healthy Child Development certificate
HIGH FIVE® Healthy Minds for Healthy Children certificate
HIGH FIVE ®: QUEST 2, an asset
National Coaching Certificate Program (NCCP) Sport and/or Theory, an asset

Language Requirement: English Essential

Experience Requirements:
•In planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the operations and delivery of recreation programs
•In program development and instruction
•In applying policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable legislation
•In supervising personnel and the work of volunteers
•In budget administration
•In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail and Internet browsing

Salary: $15.98/hr - $20.79/hr
